Client: Agent ProvocateurAgency: Story Wordwide
It's very nice… but it doesn't exactly comply with what I'd believe a great email to be – real text; less dependency on image etc.
However… with this kina subject… a clear winner!
You're right, Karl, it breaks all the rules but it worked
I believe Story Worldwide lost the account to a far better agency years back.
We lost the account in 2008 to Hi-Res, who have done some great sites but I would contest the assertion that they are a far better agency, we did 6 sites in 5 years for AP to great critical acclaim.

The only reason its a winner is because of the half naked lady in the picture. This email is not a winner. Its boring and blah. The text isn't even cool.
